440ml can. Pours clear golden, thick foamy head - thanks widget! Aromas are light malt, not much else. Taste is sweet. No carbonation once the widget is spent. Foam head sits on top like an unwelcome marshmallow. Watery and thin. Not great.

Can thanks to Dohny. Sweet honeyish malty aroma, clear deep golden colour. Taste has earthy vegetables and metallic finish. Astringent. Bad.

Mousse superbe, effervescence plus que timide dans un produit très sucré. Rien de marquant mais pas désagréable...

330ml can from Nisa Wolverhampton City Centre. Had to change trains in Wolverhampton and fancied a beer. After searching 4 nearby off licenses this was the only beer I hadn’t tried yet. Felt so wrong buying it, but my curiousness got the better of me. Pours clear copper with a light haze and massive cream head. Initially quite light tasting and clean for the ABV, but still moderately sweet with a sticky finish. About half way through the taste got too cloying and metallic as it warmed and just found it too hard to finish. Best avoided.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a gentle hazy orange to brown color with a one finger soft white foamy head that once it dissipated there was some really nice soapy clingy lacing gracing the sides of the glass.
The smell had a nice English maltiness (construed to some as being \"soapy\") but if anything I understand it to be the English malts aligning themselves with the fuggles hops. So, eventually, a decent sweet toffee with a light caramel does come out.
The taste was mainly sweet with a toasty edge to it. Light toffee comes forth and spreads out around my taste buds.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body and rolls really smooth all around.
Overall, mmmm...great bitter well worthy of having again. Pass the fish n ’ chips!

440 ml can. Pours a clear golden orange with a very small, white head that fades quickly. Sweet aroma of caramel malt and a light fruit note. Sweet flavour of caramel malt and fruit with a mild, bitter, hoppy finish. Light body with a smooth, watery texture and flat carbonation.

This was one of my first English bitters, from before I got acquainted with the ’real’ thing. Dense, typical nitro head, snow white, colour misty golden blonde. Malty aroma, creamy, hoppy; taste soft and buttery, metallic, creamy, not very complex, ending in a one-dimensional leafy hop bitterness.
