Canned, 1 pint, London. Tried it some time ago and I didn’t find it particularly good.

[Bottle at Coast 2 Coast, Stevenage) Although most people love to hate it, I personally have no objections to the standard Budweiser. It?s crisp, clean and easy-drinking (albeit lacking in flavour) and is pretty refreshing on a hot day. I therefore thought a lower abv version would actually be a good idea, as you don?t necessarily want something as strong as a regular bud on a hot day. Unfortunately this was nothing like regular Bud. It pours a pale gold, but the thin white head vanishes almost immediately. There?s a very mild fizz, but this had died by the end leaving the beer flat. The beer is very bland and watery, with little taste other than mild soggy cardboard. It?s rubbish, makes me think of what the bad Sainsbury?s economy lager I tried last year would have been like if I?d have left it open overnight. Oh well, hopefully that will be my sole pale lager over and done with for the year!

Bright clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is minerally crisp and dry. Clean dry pale malt. Light touch of citric hops. Finishes dry with a little raw malt. Not too bad, tad dry though.

Nothing spectacular, though a good beer to switch to after a couple heavy hitters. Tad bit of a honey flavor as well.

330ml bottle from Tesco - Piss yellow, no head. Nose is sweet and grainy. Taste is just sweet. Sickly and sugary. Nondescript palate. Ideal for the BBQ crowd.
