Bottle@Bulls Head, Ashby, Leicestershire. Pale golden beer with a light head. The aroma is gently bitter, the flavour is gently bitter with dryness. Overall better than I was expecting, some sweetness but enough dryness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Apart from tasting like a full bodied lager, its strength isn’t evident in its character. Standard aroma for lager, but a slight fruitiness in its flavour. Copper coloured with no head.

So my father in law is staying over while my wife is out of town, he says I had the best beer ever on a cruise called . So we pick up 4 pack and then he goes to sleep on couch since he’s jet lagged. So now I’m drinking this in bed out of can it’s been a decade since I last indulged in Boddingtons . Anyways tastes pretty creamy and bitter. Of light yeast, biscuits, earth, and hops. anyways reminds of beautiful day in Melbourne au where I first had this.

50cl can from a supermarket in Manchester. Pours pale golden with a small white head. Lightly malty aroma with hints of cooked vegetables. Sweet and watery with a light bitterness in the finish. Pretty standard industrial pale lager. Weak in flavour and a bit watery. Pretty boring, but still drinkable.

It pours foam initially (and eventually a pale golden color. After several sips, the head stays throughout most of the beer. There isn’t much in the smell, but some light corn eventually comes out as the beer warms. The taste has the corn subdued underneath bitter malts. The palate is light and wet leaving a sticky finish. Overall, though a disappointing smell, the taste saves it. I’d probably come back to it.

I can’t believe I’ve never rated this one. Pours a clear gold with a finger of thick white nitro head. Bready yeast with a good dose of banana and some herbal hops. Not too shabby.
