Peculier but in a good way! Khaki (is that a color?) head over a rich brown Ale. The color is especially beautiful while pouring for some reason (?). Wonderful roasty flavor and complex aroma I can't begin to pinpoint. I can't wait to have this one again!

Light, very ironish tasting; limited character otherwise. Interestingly, I had this in a bottle, which doesn't seem like much of a cask to me.

An excellent real ale cask bitter. I wonder if you guys who don’t like it really like English bitters at all??

A favourite amongst old ales. It's been a while since I've had it, but I remember how much I liked it.

I agree with Aubrey - the color of this beer is amazing. A very deep red that is almost opaque unless you hold it to the light. A soft fruity flavor is clearly apparent, but it remains dry with a good hop presence. Unfortunately, I found this beer to have little body - was surprisingly thin for a relatively high alcohol beer.
