500ml bottle. Minimally milky, amber colour with average to huge, mountainous, thick, firm, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Malty-spicy, minimally doughy yeasty and yeasty spicy aroma, rye malt-like spiciness, a touch of pretzel. Taste is malty spicy, minimally doughy yeasty, mineral and salty, notes of pretzel, a touch of salt crystal, some hop bitterness. Watery texture, smooth and slightly dry palate, fine and soft carbonation. Well crafted, clean and focussed - an example of what good quality can be reached while brewed according to the 'Reinheitsgebot', without usage of adjuncts, hyped hop varieties and furthermore in an old-fashioned style. Not that I repudiate recent progressions; but what we've got here is good beer - in a sense that the term beer fulfills the expectations of the uninitiated people.

Otroligt harmonisk. Mycket gott

Bottle from the Elsfleth Hol-Ab. Brown with a golden hue. The frothy head fades slowly. Mildish aroma of caramel and herbs. Faint chocolate. Taste is moderate bitter with a grainy, herbal finish. Not bad.

Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Unclear medium gold. Nicely thick white foam stays the course. Nose has clean and crisp malt. Surprisingly mineraly. Yeasty granary bread. Nettle leaf hoppage. Taste is similarly clean and crisp. Some dryness. Fresh on the palate. Lively foamy carbonation. Clean finish. Could do multiples easily.

Clear golden/amber. Aroma is light earthy rustic with some copper/sulfur notes besides the expected somewhat malty sweetish body. Taste is sweet malty with light metallic notes and some gummy bears. A bit chewy and very drinkable. I like it.

Transparent dark golden, with a quite big, small-bubbled white head. Pretty good retention and nice lacing. A not too vivid aroma shows hay/cereal among a soft buttery feel, plus a note of grassiness from the hops. Taste is brighter. A simple malty profile of hay and cereal and a bit of honey, again among a rather strong buttery feel/note. I don't know exactly why but while the mind says too buttery too be acceptable, the overall impression is that of a still integrated and pleasant flavour. The taste profile is overall pretty high in sweetness, with quite low bitterness; again, on the verge of too sweet but not quite there. Finish is still quite clean, with a (surprising) light fruity aftertaste. Body is quite light, with low to medium, soft-bubbled carbonation. Very high drinkability. Overall, a very atypical helles, and definitely a very rustic one. Interesting (and highly drinkable).

Bei Hopfen & Malz in der Flasche gekauft. Klares dunkles Bernstein, dünne Schaumschicht, die schnell verfliegt und nur große Blasen in der Glasmitte hinterlässt. Aroma: Malz, Honig, etwas Beere. Geschmack: süß bis stärkere Süße. Leicht rauchig, malzig, etwas Karamell, wenig bitter, Eher dünn.

bottle, kindly delivered by pivnizub! Golden yellow, tall white head. Intenive malty base, soft, smooth, with good Franconian hopy, the faintest hints of caramel and butter. Bitter-sweet overall character, leaning towards a good Czech dvanáctka.

Re-rate from fresh HopDog bottle: Fresher grain and hay, light umami. still chewy and a bit sweet, but better balance - fresh grassy hops. Light salt. Moreish! Old Rating 6 3 7 3 12 Bottle, Hier-gibts-bier.de. Deep golden, offwhite head. Very dusty papery grainy nose. Medium full sweet grainy body, morning cereal, corn, fairly sweet and sticky. Stilldrinkable, but too much on the sweet side even for me.

Bottle. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is a bit papery, sweetish malts, buttery. Taste is sweet malts, strongly buttery, but in the moreish way, mild fruitiness, almost honey. Oily mouthfeel with almost sparkly carbonation. Well-made and drinkable, but I prefer their more rustic offerings, this is really sweet.
