Keg @ Tilt, Birmingham with John, Craig and Rich. Pours black with a tan ring of foam. Roasted malts and chocolate shades on the nose. Continues to taste, quite sweet and fairly rich in tone with a good chocolate presence and comforting milky caramel. Decent.

Tap at Tilt, Birmingham. Poured almost black in colour with a thin, broken, off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, big chocolate. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, sweet chocolate palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

2019 ... Maybe! This is a memory rate, no fucken idea what happened to the notes for it - maybe I should look in the attic. This empty bottle sat looking at me for months, so this memory rate is not that big a stretch because I kept thinking back to what the beer was like whilst searched my notes in vain. Mostly a clear gold beer with a small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, decent fine carbonation. I recall this one being very smooth and rounded, piney and ripe citrus, not much in the way of hop brightness or edge. Still it was reasonably drinkable. I'm sure Ampersand would do much better now.
