Light copper colour. Macro-ish aroma of caramel, metals, and slight stale grassy hops. Light body, almost no flavour save a hint of caramel. Worse than I remembered it, and my memories weren't fond.

Classic chestnut colour, low visible carbo and lacking head. Aroma is metallic, with nutty influences, earthy, toast and water. Not a good sign when you can smell the water. Metallic body with vague spent coffee grounds and nutshells. No particular hop. In the mid-90's this beer was pretty damn good, and quite hoppy too. Ten years later it's got very little to offer that I can't get in better form somewhere else. Truthfully, I'm a bad boy just for drinking this. I think I need some corporal punishment.

Amber in colour but with little head. Lots of malt in aroma but sickly sweet. Same for the taste, to much german style hops to balance the sweetness, some warmth coming from the alcool. Trying to go overboard with the malts and hops, not a nice marriage...an upscale Colt 45.

Tap - Dark brew with medium head that disapeared a tad too quickly. Great aroma of nut. Taste of nut is very present and enjoyable in this brew. Also present is a taste of coffee or bunt malts. Body is a bit thin for my liking. Probably one of the best from the Kawartha Lakes brewery.

Dark brown pour with a light brown head. This beer didn't have much of a lasting head. The aromas consisted of cocoa, roasted malts with a touch of honey. Also light coffee fragrance. The flavour is very nice. The start is somewhat striking with cocoa and coffee and lingers to a malty finish that stays with the palate for a while. A nice smooth beer to sip on.

Bottle: Pourred a light brown brew with a timid head. Almost no carbonnation. Good aroma of raspberry. The taste of wheat and raspberry is bit faint for my liking. I would have expected more in term of taste. Mind you, there's a good body in this beer. Therefore no match for some of the other fruit beer being brewed right now. I had this on tap a while ago and remember that the wheat and raspberry were more present.

draft. Cotton candy nose, almost like a raspberry sucker...fresh sour raspberry in the mouth, with some sourness, divided opinions (between me and Dum)

Nice nutty nose...intense taste of chestnuts, with a bitterness which is weel balnaced with the maltyness/nuttiness...it starts softly then reaches a beautiful peakk at the end...tatsed in draft at Black Tomato 2) Bottle version. Nutty malt aroma with some caramel. Dark brown ith a foamy moka head. Nuttiness comes out withbut much less intense than the draft, and this is very thin beer....Amsterdam messed up a fine beer. Need to rerate down. Gaveit a 3.8 initially, now look at this
