Description

Shared by Joebrew. This beer is a little weird but good anyway. First, it does fit the dubbel style, so that is where it should be. Dark brown in appearance. Very well carbonated, just full of bubbles. Some sweet caramel flavor, malt, some fruit. Some salt in the flavor as well. Aroma is malt and light spice.

Hazy blond color; persistent creamy head. Sharp spicy aroma. Dry mouthfeel, quite spicy flavor with a strong bitterness. I was expecting more.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour with a big creamy head, that lasts for a while and leaves nice lace. Aroma is citrusy, spicy and hoppy with some stinging sweetness. Flavour is pretty much the same. Says "Dubbel Wit" on the paper emballage, and that’s pretty much what it’s about.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Earthy, fruity and slightly sour aroma. Flavour is dry, earthy but at the same time very refreshing. Quite nice Saison. Lots of herbal things also lurking in the background.

Bottled 75 cl (BB 08/2006
Hazy pale yellow color, cloudy-creamy white head, some lace. Hoppy, citrusy aroma. Spicey (coriander) and quite alcoholic witbier, some candy sugar also in the flavor. Not really the most typical witbier - it is more "powerful", "double witbier". Another very good product from from this tiny brewery.

Bottled. Cloudy pale golden, rich lively head. Light orangey coriander aroma. with perfumy soap. Sweet with solid maltiness and well rounded mouthfeel. Lighty lactic flavour of blueberry pie with custard and spun sugar. Rather mild overall.

Bottled. Almost clear golden, rich head. Orangey nose. Fairly sweet and medium bodied with well rounded mouthfeel,. Soft and grainy with very well structured, seemless malt profile. Add to that some light fresh juicy hops and you’ve got a great, laid back saison.

Bottled (8.7%). Amber colour, big foamy/creamy beige head. Aroma is slightly alcohol, bigtime malts, some burnt sugar, tyeast and some hops. Some caramel also noteable. Flavour is caramel, alcohol, salted licorace and some sweetish malty tones. Some dark fruits in the aftertaste. Alcohol warms in the finish.

(750 ml bottle, thanks oh6gdx!) Labeled 8.7% ABV. Clear dark brown color, lasting tan head. Slightly acidic, a bit roasted scent. Weak raissin mixed with chocolate and vinous taste, also alcohol. Warming alcohol feeling, but not in the bad way it sometimes is. Spritzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
