Thanks to Benzai! 33 cl. can sampled @ Borefts 2014. Clear golden, fluffy white head. Very oily nose, vegetable, cabbage, faint hop,… Tastes vegetable, vegetable oil, lots of cabbage, cooking oil, corn,.. Quite fizzy & oily body. Not very good even by exotic pale lager taste.

26/IX/14 - 33cl can @ Borefts 2014 (Bodegraven) - BB: 23/V/15 (2014-1022) Thanks to Benzai for sharing the can!

Clear pale yellow beer, almost no colour at all, small creamy white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, sugary, corn, more sugar, apple juice. MF: ok carbon, light body. Taste: bit sweet, watery, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: soapy, little bitter, weak. Did you read the commercial description? Haha, got everything opposite from what they claim to be! :-)

Deep dark brown coloured body with a light brown head that fades relatively quickly. Aroma of roasted malt, raisins, figs, bananas and a lot of dough - very nice though in comparison to the rest of the pale lagers here. Medium-bodied; Assertive roasted malt flavours with the raisins, figs, earth, nuts and vanilla flavours soon behind. Aftertaste shows a mellow yet smooth sweetness with raisins and prunes the strongest. Overall, a surprisingly nice stout with some good flavours and longer lasting tastes compared with the Guinness from here. I sampled this 320 mL can purchased from Pepito Express (Grocery) in Seminyak/Kerobokan, Bali, Indonesia on 26-June-2014 for IDR19,000 sampled a few minutes later back at my villa here in Bali.

Light golden coloured body of course with a very thin white head. Aroma of light malt, rice and a hint of metal - not much going on here. Light-bodied; Sharp malt and rice flavours at first with a hint of apple and pear sweetness, caster sugar and a bit of grain, but a mostly watery flavour. Aftertaste is dry and mild with the rice coming through the strongest with perhaps a hint of sugar at the finish. Overall, a pretty standard beer that doesn’t seem too bad in comparison with others - sure it’s not great or ’hip’, but it’s cheaper and of course with Indonesia, has the same alcohol as all the other beers - so no major concern. I sampled this 620 mL (big bottle) purchased at Circle K in Kerobokan, Bali, Indonesia on 26-June-2014 sampled a few minutes later here in Bali, for IDR25,000.
