On tap. Pours orange. No nose that I would notice. If there were some malt and hops taste in this I’d say it was balanced, because the lime taste (despite feeling artificial) is well blended into the rest. But like this? No no no.

On tap in Haast. Black but not pitch black, hints of brown. Little soft head. Roasty nose, but not extreme. Hints of liquorice in the taste, but altogether surprisingly light and refreshing. As others have mentioned, definitely sessionable.

On tap in Te Anau. Amber in color, unsurprisingly. Faint nose, underwhelming taste, but easy to drink. And quite refreshing, after a long day on the road.

330ml bottle into glass. toasty hop aroma. Amber beer with thick white head.
A little carbonation. Tastes light ,clean, a bit watery. Short finish, nowhere near as hoppy as I thought it would be. Pleasant, drinkable, a bit of a session beer perhaps.

330 ml bottle. Clear golden body with a small but lacing off-white head. Aroma has some malt, toast and woody hops. Flavor is medium sweet, light malt with a rather harsh bitterness and little fruitiness. Feels quite unbalanced and messy, not particular nice. Unbalanced in body as well, rather thin. Might be a bit old, but still within best before date.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 23 Mar 15, at Cella, 20141214) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness, startch and grass. Palate was quite light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, metallicness, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A thin and boring pale ale.

Bottle at Wild Lime, Reading. Gold with a thin white head. Gentle fizz in a soft body. Sweet but thin malt behind light grassy hops. A little pepper in the slightly dry finish. Beats the macros I guess, but it’s very very tame indeed.

33 cl bottle @ Cosmic Comic Cafe, BBE 23.03.2015
Aroma is very sweet with fruit candy and caramel. Also some pineapple juice. Flavour is very sweet with glue, resiny tones, caramel, toffee candy and some odd metallic savor. At the end of the glass toffee candy tones take over. Oversweet IPA with some west coast wibes.
