Stale macintosh aplles, musty cardboard, minerals. Watery, slightly acidic, with a minimal tart finish that leans towards sweet in the end. Meh.

4 pack of cans purchased in Ville Marie
Clear caramel colored pour, with a small white head. Aroma is big on cheap smelling caramalt, butter, and wet grass. The mouth feel is good, and the carb is a tad soft. The finish is all wet grass, and wet paper, with some minerals, and more cheap caramalts. It leaves a nasty earthy, wet grass flavor. Didn’t finish my can.

Tall can shared with Soph at our first BBQ of the year next to the River Severn. Pours clear gold, well medium carbonation with sweet apple fruit aromatics. Taste presents a pleasantly sweet character, balanced and sippable. Ok.

Sample courtesy of minutemat, cheers Mat! Pale gold colour, white foam head that dissipates away and aroma of apple, rhubarb, berries. Taste is sweetish, rhubarb, raspberry, some tartness and baked apple notes. Medium bodied, ligth carbonation, medium-sweet drying fruity berry & rhubarb finish. Quite drinkable.

(473ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours clear yellow-gold with a rapidly fizzing white head and active soda bubbles. Aroma is sweetened red apples and simple syrup, some yeasty undertones. Flavour is moderate-plus sweet and almost imperceptibly tart, again back-sweetened red apples and simple syrup, soft yoghurty lactic/malic acidity, very subtle skin tannin, retirint yeast, semi-sweet finish. Light bodied, slick, some fizzing carbonation. Bought for cooking and was cheap and cheerful for that role. Nothing special at all to drink.

Tall can from National Brewery Centre, Burton on Trent. Misty pale gold appearance. Strong rhubarb aroma, decent fruity blend, light yet flavoursome with good balanced rhubarb and raspberry representation. Not bad.

(473ml can from Metro St Roch, Quebec City) Pours nearly clear pale gold with a rapidly fizzing head. Simple clean semi-dry cider, fresh lightly sweet and lightly tart Mcintosh apple vibes, slight skin and yeast tones, pretty mineral, dry finish. Light fizzing mouthfeel. Decent enough, bought for cooking and not objectionable to drink half the can.
