Description
The return of Outlaw Brewing Co. is something we’d been working towards for 12 months, with the aim of producing limited edition beers of varying abv’s and styles on a semi-regular basis. The first Outlaw beer was brewed in 1996 and, after a few years of inactivity, it’s back in 2012!
The brewery was taken over in 2017 and relocated to their current location towards the end of 2019.

Keg. Leeds International Beer Festival. Pale amber, with a gentle haze. Thin, bubbly, lasting, white head. Big, juicy, tropical fruit hit. Lots of stone fruit. Some resinous notes. Pretty dank. Toffee malts in the background. Taste is fusty, resinous bitter. Has a big U.S. West Coast feel to it. Finishes long, juicy, orangey bitter. Very nice.

Cask @ Blues Cafe Bar, Harrogate. Blond with a thick creamy head. Strong enough tasting but maintains its tropical fruit flavours that linger a while in the palate. There’s plenty of tropical fruit in its aroma too, however its strength makes it less appealing than others of this type.

Cask. Sheffield Tap. Clear, dark straw colour. Thin, lasting, dense, white head. Big, oily hop to this. Grapefruit. Ripe peach. Biscuity sweet, grainy malts. Taste is moderate, lasting bitter. Well balanced sweetness to it. Bit of chewy depth to the palate. Easy drinker. Finishes long, gentle bitter. A bit of sticky sweet lasts on the lips. Would love to try this on keg.

Cask @ Friends of Ham, Leeds. Caramel-gold coloured with a creamy head. Has an extremely high tropical fruit nose although somewhat less stated in its taste in terms of the tropical notes, however these are still dominant. Quite thin tasting.

Cask at the Earl of Essex. It pours deep amber with a small white head. The nose is wood, earth, pond water and a hint of caramel.... The taste is rather watery, wood, leather, earth, pepper and faint caramel with a very dry finish. Light body and low carbonation. Lacking in flavour. Very so-so.
