Description
The return of Outlaw Brewing Co. is something we’d been working towards for 12 months, with the aim of producing limited edition beers of varying abv’s and styles on a semi-regular basis. The first Outlaw beer was brewed in 1996 and, after a few years of inactivity, it’s back in 2012!

The brewery was taken over in 2017 and relocated to their current location towards the end of 2019.

Keg. Leeds International Beer Festival. Pale amber, with a gentle haze. Thin, bubbly, lasting, white head. Big, juicy, tropical fruit hit. Lots of stone fruit. Some resinous notes. Pretty dank. Toffee malts in the background. Taste is fusty, resinous bitter. Has a big U.S. West Coast feel to it. Finishes long, juicy, orangey bitter. Very nice.

Cask, hand-pulled at York Tap. Half-pint shared with Finn. Good lacing down the glass, filmy layer covering a hazy golden body. Aroma of lemony hops, hints of oranges as well. Taste of hoppy fruits, lightly spiced and semi-dry, leading to a quite heavy bitterness to the finish. Medium bodied. A good beginning to our pub crawl in York, Saturday 26.01.2013.

Take 2 Bottle from Tomlinsons, Inverness [300113]
Orange amber, light haze, frothy white head that dissipates to thin film. Aroma of floral perfume, spicy hops, hint of lemon hops, hint of hay malt in background, some odd herbal plant notes. Unusual aromatic taste, mouthful of random flower petals, spicy hops, dab of citrus hop, pale sweet caramel malts in the background, slight hint of ginger, touch of green stem, light herbal notes quite weird to be honest, not that harmonious in flavour though...Holland & Barrett beer?..!! Taste is better than aroma. Alcohol is pretty well hidden. Palate - Soft carb, medium body, quite oily. Finish is particulary dry, quite bitter hops, lingering flowers
Overall - Far better than the cask I had earlier in the month. Experimental beer - it’s very interesting and wacky...I’m glad I’ve tried the bottle as the dodgy cask gave a poor impression. Did they pull it off?..not quite imho but it’s still fairly good

Cask @ Roscoe Head 040113
Light straw, clear, thin white head
Aroma - soft cereals, bit yeasty
Taste - bitter cereal, yeast, bit buttery, not great
Palate - thinnish body, bit powdery. Finish - dry dry grains. very bitter linger
Overall - Not good - I didn’t like this..... Must be in poor condition looking at the other rates? Worth a re-rate in future 2.4

On cask at Tap East Stratford. Clear orange gold with slight haze and few white bubbles. Tasty tangerine ipa. Nit hugely bitter but fruit is lovely bit of green tea on finish. Yeah fruit flavours are pretty top notch
