Description
The return of Outlaw Brewing Co. is something we’d been working towards for 12 months, with the aim of producing limited edition beers of varying abv’s and styles on a semi-regular basis. The first Outlaw beer was brewed in 1996 and, after a few years of inactivity, it’s back in 2012!

The brewery was taken over in 2017 and relocated to their current location towards the end of 2019.

Tap East Brewpub. Light haze on this gold beer, tiny white head. Smooth palate with very moderate carbonation. Sweet white flowers! A little citrus stops it becoming cloying. Reminds me of the recent Thornbridge but not quite as good as that gem. Any green tea is vanishingly subtle. Smooth semi dry finish with mild bitter linger.

Cask-conditioned at the North Yorkshire beeriodical, the Seven Stars, Bristol 10/12/2012. Slightly hazy amber with a decent white head. Big tropical fruit and grassy hop aroma with a hint of something spicy. Flavour had solid cereal malts, green herbs, a lot more fruit and a lingering dry finish. Excellent.

Cask at The Rake, London. Pours clear, rich yellow with a small, creamy white head. Aroma holds some floral hops, orange and lemon, dry pine. Medium sweet flavor with decent bitterness, some herbal notes, dry orange, dry grass. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish, medium sweet with toasted grass, floral and herbal bitterness, dried out citrus, light spicy pine. An alright IPA.

Cask at the White Horse, London. Golden coloured pour with a slight head. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Tastes of citrus fruit, quite dry, nice amount of hoppiness. Pleasantly refreshing.

Cask Conditioned at J.D. Wetherspoon - The Masque Haunt, London
Hazy deep blond color. It’s generously hopped with a fruity American hop, evident both in the aroma and flavor; the body is maybe too thin, with light toffee, but it has a high drinkability and freshness. Very good.
