Description
The return of Outlaw Brewing Co. is something we’d been working towards for 12 months, with the aim of producing limited edition beers of varying abv’s and styles on a semi-regular basis. The first Outlaw beer was brewed in 1996 and, after a few years of inactivity, it’s back in 2012!

The brewery was taken over in 2017 and relocated to their current location towards the end of 2019.

Cask handpump at The Dispensary, Liverpool, 29-11-08. Pours golden with a white med/slim head looks in really good nick. The aroma is fresh and with a good citrus and hoppy scent. Its initially a little bit thin but its clean hoppy and with a gentle fruitiness it starts to win you over. A good beer that I would be happy to session on but maybe a little bit thin overall. On Saturday the 8th November I took the bus from St Andrews to the costal town Kirkcaldy and visited the much awarded Harbour Bar where I had a comfortable drinking session of well kept real ales handpulled from casks and served at the right drinking temperature. This one has got a harvest golden body colour with a very thin, white head. Careful floral aroma. Fruity hops in flavour with hints of pears. Not overly bitter to be polite. Light in the mouth [08.11.2008].

Cask , gravity at The Ship and Mitre, Beer Festival, Liverpool, 29-11-08. Pours a mid to light amber. The is furiously bitter with grapefruits, zest and some jiffy lemon coursing through the mouth. Really lovely juicy beer, that starts to sweet a little with the taste of Opal fruits also present. This is very good beer. A7 A4 F8 P4 OV16 3.9

Cask-conditioned at the Summer Beer Festival, The Royal Oak, Bath 17/07/08. Deep gold in colour with next to no head. Aroma of summer fruits and citrus hops. A hint of sweetness to start the flavour before grapefruit and apricot hops took over, leading to a long, dry finish. Very enjoyable.

Cask, The Dispensary, Liverpool. Golden colour with a decent lingering white head. Very floral, hoppy aroma with a dash of citrus. Softish mouthfeel. Flavour similar, but lacking any real oomph. Not bad at all, just nothing special
