Description
Stroud Brewery was established in 2006 by Greg Pilley and his wife Jade. The business has grown steadily and now employs over 20 people. We recently constructed a brand new building purpose built for our growing needs. It provides more space for the brewery, allowing an increase in our production capacity, a larger office and a canal-side tap with beautiful views of the Golden Valley.

We have created a range of organic beers that we are really proud of, because they taste great and their production supports the local farmers and the ecosystems they manage. The standards we must adhere to for organic certification support our ambition to be a business that cares for people and planet.

Keg at Stroud Brewery. Slightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma of light malts, weak hops. Taste of fruity hops, slightly tropical, sweet. Light-medium body with quite heavy carbonation - that and the sweetness making it feel like a fizzy drink.

26/8/2021. Cask at the 2021 East Anglian Beer Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours black with a small bubbly tan coloured head. Aroma of liquorice, ash, roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark fruit, coffee biscuit. Moderate sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily creamy texture, soft carbonation. Looked good, with great depth for its abv. Enjoyable.

Bottle from The Farm Shop, Gloucester M5 Motorway Services. Pours a clear light chestnut colour with a thin off-white head. Aromas of caramel, toffee and a touch of orange. Taste has more of the same notes again, lots of caramel, slightly buttery with some added toasty bread and floral hop. Thinnish body, fair carbonation and smooth oily mouthfeel. Quite tasty for the low abv.
