Description
Stroud Brewery was established in 2006 by Greg Pilley and his wife Jade. The business has grown steadily and now employs over 20 people. We recently constructed a brand new building purpose built for our growing needs. It provides more space for the brewery, allowing an increase in our production capacity, a larger office and a canal-side tap with beautiful views of the Golden Valley.
We have created a range of organic beers that we are really proud of, because they taste great and their production supports the local farmers and the ecosystems they manage. The standards we must adhere to for organic certification support our ambition to be a business that cares for people and planet.

Cask-conditioned, at the Watershed, Bristol 14/9/2019. Golden in colour, with a thin, off-white, head and slight haze. Plenty of citrus hops, straw, ripe citrus and pineapple fruit, rich tea malts and a dryish finish. Good.

500ml can picked up from Deya. Pours slightly hazy dark golden, white head. Aroma is peachy, floral, earthy. Taste is peachy, citrus, lemon, very floral and earthy, light hop bitterness. Light-medium body. Very easy drinking. Playing it safe this year after last year's Triple IPA and Foreign Stout, not that I blame them, it's for charity after all.

330ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Jan 19. Thanks Mike for this. Pours hazy dark ruby, frothy pale tan topping. Light red berry aroma, roast. Taste is dry roast, subtle berry sweetness. Expected a little more cherry, but generally nicely balanced and drinkable.

28th Jan 2019. Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group meeting in Chez Sophie. Cheers Mike for sharing this 330ml can. Deep, dark cherry red, beige top. The aroma and taste does remind you of a Black Forest Gateau with cherry and chocolate esters/flavours. A bit sweet, but I really enjoyed it.

Bottle from Gloucester Services, M5, Gloucestershire. Hazy slightly darker amber in colour with a small head. Lightly spiced with ginger, it's a winter-warmer type ale. There's some equally light ginger notes in its aroma.
