Passion fruit, wheat malt, salt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with giant white head and mild but long lasting effervescence. Lightly sweet passion fruit, wheat malt, lightly salty, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Good body and balance. Very nice.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 5/2019. Pours very hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, licorice, anise, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, licorice, anise, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, licorice, anise, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and yeast spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, fairly sticky, and slightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is an excellent NEIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish; great soft feel. Syrian Wolf and Syrian Dragon hops. A bit unique, but similar to other new varieties. Very juicy, vibrant, fairly dank/earthy hops with fruity/spicy Kviek yeast; and a great balancing wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example. No complaints.

Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, dark/bready malts, and oak barrel flavors; with an awesome malt, tart, tangy, spiciness balance; and no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tang/tartness, and yeast/wine/oak spiciness. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly acidic/tangy/tannic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a fantastic Flanders red ale. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, dark/bready malts, and oak barrel flavors; very smooth, easy, and fairly crisp/clean to drink; with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic or tannic on wine barrels. Fantastic well rounded Brett/Bacteria complexity; with great wine barrel presence/integration, and malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazingly spot on style example. I can definitely say the age helped this one out, vs the other ratings.

Dark brown pour, some beige bubbles on the top. Soft nose, sweet and fudge. Little coca cola in the nose. Taste is herbal bitter, spicy and still having some roasted caramel edge, pastry but with a strong herbal edge. Interesting for sure.
