Red amber ale. Virtually no aroma. Simple taste, quite smooth, watery; poor palate. Why do they export it?

A very smooth and drinkable ’bitter’, perhaps without too much character. Still, I openly admit enjoying it! Rerate nitro-can: Delete the ’perhaps’ - it’s DEFINITELY without too much character. I over-rated this brew the first time. It’s still drinkable, but far from great!

Nut-brown. Neutral aroma. Caramell-ish toffee- flavour. Somewhat watery but still enjoy-able.

More or less like the Extra Smooth - but without nitrogen...................

(Bottle). A good but somewhat overrated beer. Aggressively carbonated. Better in the Good Old Days when it was stronger.
Rerate, draught in Newcastle: I found the colour to be darker brown than the bottled version (can that be?), and the flavour was fuller and richer - even though the pub tried to ruin it by serving it ice cold.

Great color, somewhat thin but distinctively smokey flavor and I thought it had a better head than seems to be the general consensus here. I was worried about the clear bottle leading to skunk city but that wasn't the case at all.

Nut brown, smallish head. Rather sweet, somewhat nutty, medium bodied, rather low bittterness. Not very complex, but for a massproduced beer it is not bad.

Nice dark appearance, with a thick creamy head. But again nothing different from other english stuff.
