A nut brown beer with a very white and dense head. The aroma is sweet with notes of nuts and caramel. The flavor is of nuts, hops, and roasted malt with a very dry end. The mouthfeel is very soft.

On draught at the original Hard Rock Cafe in London of all places. Pours a dark amber color with a thin light beige head. Thin lacing. Mellow malt aroma. Very smooth drinking, with flavors of malt, brown sugar, sweet fruit and hops. The finish is lightly bitter but does not last very long. Decent overall, but could be better.

Brown-reddish clear body. Brownish frothy head, fairly lacing and mostly lasting. Malty aroma. Lightly bitter-sweet flavour.

Canned. Said Pub draught Ale on the can but I am assuming this is the right one. Golden colour with extra thick nitro head. Lager nose (this is common in British ales...they smell like lagers!). Slight roasty malt, rather sharp, with light hops. The bitterness carries welll though. Light body for an ale.

Can, thanks Dave! Clear chestnut, offwhite nitro head. Light caramel nose, light body, creamy mouthfeel, dry, light toffee, very light earthy British hops, light grainy finish. Still wins no prizes in my book, but my old rating was a bit unfair.
Old rating: 8 3 2 6 3 Can Absolutely no aroma. Nice chestnut colour, low creamy head. Could not detect any flavor either - weak beer. Med body - anonymous finish.
Earlier Rating: 10/8/2002 Total Score: 2.2
nitrokeg tap. Dark golden amber color. Very very lightly malt taste. Slightly acidic aroma. Boring watery aftertaste.

This ale poured a nice dark red colour with a off white head. Doughy yeast notes with sugar malt and caramel to follow. This initial taste was excellent with its mild carbonation and roasted malt flavour. The palate was smooth with a lingering malt flavour and a slightly bitter finish.

Aroma is not strong: malty and a little bit like acid. Head average, slightly brown. A lot of carbonation. Brown colour with shades of red. Starts with some chocolate taste ending with a little bit bitter. Too watery for my taste, propably much better tapped.

Very nice colour of dark copper with a very thick almost white head. Thick enough almost to stand a pretzel in. A slight caramel aroma complemented with grainy notes. the taste starts out less than bold and dissappears fast to its bitter end. Very smooth and a slight bit watery. Very easy drinking.

Tap. Very light/soft orange hues. Small white head, mostly dissipating. Smallest bit of bittersweet aroma. Begins light and very soft textured. Flavors of a little bit of mild hops, a touch of orange/honey flavor and then. . Water. This beer was surprisingly extremely tasteless, but not bad tasting at least.

Bottle. Pours a fairly clear brown with lots of golden tinges. Small to no head. Not much of a smell. Raisins? a little bit of malt. Begins lightly sweet and mildly astringent. Some raisin flavor detectable, and a tad bit of watery roasted barley. Thins out and there is still some malt flavor dominant. Hmm, not much going on. Boring, but not terrible.
