Keg at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Pours perfectly clear gold with a foamy white head and impressively sturdy white lacing. (I normally donโt comment on lacing because, really, who gives a shit, but the lacing here was too robust to NOT earn a mention.) A bit of dry cereal in the nose, mild bread, hints of tangy melon. Light sweet flavor with grainy cereal, moderate bitter grain husks, a bit of citrus rind. Light bodied with average carbonation. Fair balance on the finish with more grainy cereal and dry, flinty minerals. Not bad.

Cask at Grape & Grain. It pours near black a small light tan head. The nose is rich roasted, pepper, light smoke, salted liquorice, rubber and scorched earth. The taste is roasty, toast, coffee, good deal bitterness, liquorice, ash, pepper and dark chocolate with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Flavoursome, robust and rather drinkable. One of By The Hornโs best.
