Draft at Churchkey. Poured a dark color with a very small off-white head. Low carbonation. Aroma was roasted malts, notes of fruits, sweetness. Flavor was sweet, notes of fruits, caramel malts, pretty smooth. This one aged quite well.

Love love love the brew these guys make. This is yet another wonderful offering. The bomber pours deep mahogany with mocha head. The aroma is dried warm plum meat, ripe cherries, some boysenberries, chocolate, dark roasted malts, some burnt malt notes and a bit of boozy heat at the end. The taste is rich bold smooth and brings up a vast array of notes that sum up to be biased to the malty side. I get dark roasted malts quickly heading into slick sugary sweetness, dark chocolate candy, some molasses and then rich prunes, dates and figs. Behind those notes are mild hoppy offerings of citrus, pine and spiciness before a hint of booziness helps take this into the after taste.

12 oz. bottle, as part of the Jewbelation 8-pack, pours dark with a tan head. Oaky aroma, with vanilla, molasses and dark fruits. Flavour of caramel, oak, vanilla, molasses and wood. The rye finishes it off, with a slightly bitter and alcoholic finish. This seems more like an experiment that came out to whatever it was rather than something uniquely crafted. That said, it is great.

12 oz. bottle, as part of the Jewbelation 8-pack, pours dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small head. Aroma of dark fruits, caramel, bourbon and alcohol. Flavour is complex dark fruits, bourbon, caramel malts, and alcohol. Huge jump from 11 to 12 - this is really excellent.

Pours deep mahogany-tinged black into a vertical glass. Micro mocha head with medium retention recedes to coat surface. Roasted nut and earthy caramel aromas. Sweet, sharp and dry with chalky hay upfront turning to pumpernickel in the middle before the licorice and anise in the lasting finish.

12 oz. bottle, as part of the Jewbelation 8-pack, pours dark, dark brown with a reddish tinge and small beige head. Light aroma of dark fruits (fig, plum, etc.). Flavour of dark fruits and burnt caramel, with a relatively dry body and just a touch of sweetness. Not very ambitious, though it's quite good.

12 oz. bottle, as part of the Jewbelation 8-pack, pours dark, dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of dark dried fruits, molasses and caramel - slightly stronger than the 8th Ann. Flavour of bitter, dry dark fruits and cardboard, or something similarly stale. Metallic, off-putting sour finish. Something seems off about this, or this could be what was intended. Not so good.

Tap at Churchkey, courtesy of Darren - thank you sir! Tastes like a cross between pumpernickel bread and Christmas fruitcake - nice!

12 oz. bottle, as part of the Jewbelation 8-pack, pours dark mahogany with tan head. Aroma of dried fruits (plum, dates), chocolate, oatmeal and nuts. The flavour reveals slightly sour, dark dried fruits, slight molasses, with lingering notes of plum and raisin. Silky, creamy texture, with little sweetness and not much complexity. Good, though leaves something to be desired.
