This ale pours a cloudy dark amber colour with a almost creamy head. The aroma included corn syrup, sugar and malt with a hit of metallic. Initial sip had a strong bitter flavour with almost a buttery flavour. A thick creamy ale. The finish was very hoppy. And palate was the same....became better tasting the warmer it got.

Deep brown with a nice-sized head. Average, maybe slightly above smell: sweet, normal brown ale scent. Taste is slighly nutty, slighty brown rice, slightly smokey. Nothing extraordinary, but it is good.

A deep red beer with a fine but disappearing head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of roasted bread. The flavor is dominated by roasted malt with notes of wood and cowberries, before it ends on a dry note. It has a nice palate.

An amber beer with a fine beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel and fruit. The flavor is of roasted bread and caramel. It is very nicely hopped both aroma and bitter which gives it a lovely bitter end. A nice flavor.

Black color. Very nice hop aroma, with just some roasted malt and yeast. Poorer body, dry with a lot of roasted malt.

Clear amber colour with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of sweet english malt dominate the aroma with the slightest of hints towards hops. Medium-bodied; Strong maltiness in the taste as well as a bit of the alcohol showing through , fading again with the most minimal amount of hops. Aftertaste bittered a bit from the malt, but actually fairly bland. Overall, this is a step better than the other Hebrew beer I've had, but still not a great beer. Try this if you are jewish, as it is overseen by a rabbi (or whatever), but don't expect it to be a beer that you would want to drink all the time! I bought my twelve ounce bottle from Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on 10-September-2003.

Dark brown in colour with a strong ruby highlight when held up to a light. Thick tan head that stays for a while, and the whole beer looks like a Root Beer Float! Smells of malt, a bit of candy and some macro-brew funk. Medium-bodied; Malty taste (on the sweeter side) with hints of candy, a VERY small amount of fruit and a bit watery. Aftertaste only showcases a bit of the malt and nothing else than that. Simply a beer that isn't in the top flight. Not a great beer for the style, and not one that I would buy again. Try beers by the 'real' brewer: Anderson Valley and you'll like those MUCH better! Pass this one up for something else! I bought my twelve ounce bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York.
