Bomber from a BevMo. Pours pretty dark brown - but light gets through the edges. Head was a transient beige/tan smear. Aroma is dark fruit, maybe a bit prune. Full bodied with spritely carbonation. Starts smooth, silkly dark malt and fruit. Heat isn’t in the mouth, sort of starts down below. Maybe a suggestion of Cola, or perhaps Dr. Pepper. Dates? Much more of a sipper than a drinker. Unless you’re wanting to go down fast.

Pours dark brown into a snifter. Mocha head recedes to hug rim. Oak aromas. Thick with raisin and plum from front to back with a hot lasting vanilla oak finish.

12oz bottle pours murky rutty mahogany with tan head. The aroma is sweet bourbon, some spicy oak, a light amount of dark roasted malts, dark fruity esters and dark chocolate all followed by a touch of heat at the end of the draw. The taste is sweet and fairly smooth bourbon and a healthy dose of vanilla. The palate gets a bit creamy as notes of dark roasted malts, molasses and some chocolate take this to about midway. Into the finish growing bourbon booziness and lingering sweet vanilla slide into the after taste. Nice brew that leans barrel forward.

Bottle. Pours a dark hazy brown with a grayish brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was full of sweet dark grains, sweet dark bread, molasses and a bit of sweet chocolate and dark fruits. Flavor started with sweet dark grains/bread and was joined by molasses and sweet chocolate in the finish. Quite smooth.

Sweet aromatic beer with a creamy middle, leading to quite a hoppy bitter finish. Different. Nice.

Bomber from BevMo Salinas. Nose is prunes, wheat with slight banana and cough syrup, and some light breadiness. Cloudy brown with a medium beige head. Flavor is molasses and grapes with a bit of light sweetness and a hint of bitterness.Flavors and aromas just don’t meld together well, lots of them there, but not nice to my senses.
