12oz from the sampler box pours slightly murky copper in body with off white head. The aroma is nice and pretty bold with rich tangelo and grapefruit and some pine like hoppy bitterness just churning around and around. The taste is full yummy spicy hops mixing with various citrus hop notes as well as resiny pine like hop bitterness too heading midway and into the finish. Darn nice IPA with plenty of yumminess to go around. One of the better IPAs I’ve had in a while.

12oz bottle poured into an English Pint...because I can. Pours a very cloudy ruby/brown with a half finger of white head. Aroma of pomegranate, sweet citrus fruits and a little bread. Taste is light bitter and light sweet. Loads of bready malt with some caramel and a little pomegranate on the aftertaste. Full bodied with a thin and slick texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, this is not exactly my style but I can drink it. I probably wouldn’t drink it again and I definitely wouldn’t suggest it to someone who is looking for a "fruit beer".

12oz bottle poured into a snifter. Pours a cloudy nut brown / ruby with about a finger of off-white head. Aroma of caramel, grapefruit and other citrus with some dark fruits. Taste is medium bitter. Grapefruit, pine and caramel. Medium bodied with a creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, I’m liking this beer. I wish I would have got more than just one.

Picked this up from a friend in a trade. It was case #2 out of 800+ Pretty awesome.

A - 1/4 head, coffee color head with a black amber brew appearance. Basic appearance really not too impressive.

S - Lots of coffee, bourbon, chocolate and whipped cream. The barrel scent was strong and awesome. HUGELY surprising at how amazing this smells.

T - Bourbon, coffee, mollasses and syrup. Loving the coffee smell.

M - 60/40 bubbles to liquid on a swish. Very light bodied and super drinkable.

O - This is a very strong beer. It’s strong, drinkable but the taste and scent are mind blowing. Remarkable how tasty this beer is. I had low expectations but this beer blew me away.

Deep dark black body with a thin tan head and some lighter colours near the bottom. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, cardboard, a touch of vanilla and a potent kick of chiles. Medium to Full-bodied; Nice pungent flavours with a lot of the spices coming through and a good malt flavour right behind. Aftertaste shows chiles the strongest with a lot of other strong flavours including some coffee, roasted malt, caramalised sugars and a decent amount of heat at the finish. Overall, nice to sample and an interesting beer, but not amazing. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 20-November-2011 for US$7.25 sampled at home in Washington on 19-February-2012.

Pour is a copper with a average tan head. Aroma is a deffinate caramal malt with a little pine hops. Flavor is equal to the aroma. Caramel malt is the main flavor with a little spicy hop bringing things up toward the end. A decent easy drinking pale ale.
