22oz bomber pours with a dark mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, dark roasted coffee and chocolate followed by a Douglas Fur like woodiness. The taste delivers a nice load of dark roasted coffee and malts flowing into chocolate and a lactose like twang. Toward the finish a thin yet slick malt sweetness ushers this experience to closure.

Wow. This is a big, boozy mess of a beer, with aromas of milo, fermented fruit, cherries and biscuits. It's extremely sweet in the mouth, before eventually tapering off with a little mint, pepper and more of that cherry. Urgh, this one is not doing it for me.

Bomber from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours dark brown with a slight tan head. Aroma of creamy smooth chocolate. Med body at least. Flavor is dark chocolate that casts an earthiness over the brew. Heading towards dry, but not very bitter. Supporting mildly toasted malt. There's a mild "tang" that might be wood. It is chocolate, smooth, creamy and dark. Except for the "tang" and malt it's rather one note. Good note though. Note: Date stamp is 17 09 19.

Bottle from Rakuten. A deep cola black with a tan head and a roasty oats, chocolate and hints of licorice aroma. The medium body delivers roasty chocolate, nuts and licorice. Somewhat aggressively carbonated but nice. 3.5-6 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I got this in a trade with joe1510. Thanks Joe!
2007 Edition:
Nice clear amber-red colour with a finger head of foam and some good lacing.
The smell gives me a big dose of fruit, caramel malt, and some citrus.
The taste is very fruity with a lot of apricot and some cherry, a nice caramel malt sweetness, some vanilla, and just a touch of citrus near the finish. And man, it does have some decent warming during the swallow but since it's just another winter like day outside, it's a pretty welcome feature.
A few more sips in and I notice how bitter the finish really is but overall, I think it has good balance. A nice BWSA here that's a bit different taste wise than I'm used to but quite drinkable indeed. I'd drink it again.
