750 ml bottle. 2016 vintage. Aroma is bolder oak, slight dark fruit, english toffee. Flavor is mellow with toffee and dark fruit. Backend shows the oak and mild bourbon. Mellow warming after the sip. Body is about medium/ normal. This age extremely well!

Quite hazy deep orange and golden coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall head that fades quite quickly. Aroma of bright grassy and herbal hops with a lot of alpha acids with some tropical fruit and light malty notes with some alcohol towards the end. Light to perhaps Medium-bodied; Pungent fruity flavours up front with bunches of mangoes, light grain, a dose of blood oranges and hints of grapefruit, flowers and soft grainy malt notes, showing some light sweetness, a dose of hay and dry notes and finishing with a light mango and astringent note. Aftertaste shows some grass, a little bit of hay and yeast and a good finish of lightly bittered hops that show some citrus notes and a dose of resin and floral elements that make this robust throughout, while being a touch light. Overall, a pretty nice beer that isn't too strong or pungent, but shows some nice herbal qualities with a touch of bright hops, while still remaining drinkable. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from BeerTopia in Omaha, Nebraska for US$1,99 on 10-October-2019 sampled a few hours later in my hotel room here in Lincoln, Nebraska on 10-October-2019.

Crisp clear golden and light copper coloured body with a thinnish tan head, about two to three centimetres tall. Aroma of light malt, toffee, caramelised sugars and a dose of floral and grassy notes that show some light hops. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong biscuity malt bite at first that shows a lot of the malts with a light dose of the flowers, grassy and herbal bite that shows quite a bit of bitterness and pungency, but the softer sugars finish out the beer and round out the malts. Aftertaste shows the malts more than anything with caramelised sugars, light nutty flavours, a dose of toffee and all ending with the floral bite and bitterness that was noticed throughout. Overall, a decent Marzen with a good solid profile that hits the right marks and shows a good character throughout with nothing pungent throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Hy-Vee in Omaha (Papillion), Nebraska on 07-October-2019 for US$1,99 sampled in my hotel room here in Omaha, Nebraska on 09-October-2019.

Bottle: Very dark brown with a short tan head. Chocolate, oatmeal scent. Taste is lightly coffee-bittered, dark chocolate roasted malt, oats. Very good.

Draft. A- Juniper, mild fruiti tutti gum. A- Light purple color, clear liquid, no head. T- Juniper, mild grape, mild passion fruit. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Good stuff right here. At first glance it looks like a literal glass of water but with a purple tint from an angle. The pine comes across as more of a juniper or gin like flavor with mild wine grape must mixed in. Tasted a bit like a floor cleaner smells but not harsh or aggressive. Tasty.

12 oz bottle from Beer of Month Club. Nice clear reddish-brown, tan head. Some nice, drippy lacing. Nutty and roasty, with lots of flavor. Well made nut brown. Enjoyed this one quite a bit.

Draft. A- Coffee. A- Brown color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Coffee, slightly earthy, slightly fruity. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- Tastes like a plain old cup of coffee. A touch of earthy and fruity notes come through but otherwise not a lot. This is another beer I think would benefit from a barrel.

Draft. A- Oranges. A- Yellow orange color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Pine, bitter, orange zest. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- At least they are recognizing there is too much hype with current styles. Appreciate the attempt to go retro but it's pretty standard and only okay for me.

Draft. A- Lemonade. A- Light purple color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Basil, mild berries. P- Light body, creamy texture, flat carbonation, balanced finish. O- The cask made this feel a bit watered down. Okay concept but not the best execution here.
