Aroma: The nose is of this beer is pretty much just roasted coffee, with some milk chocolate
Appearance: This beer pours into the glass an almost completely opaque brown-black color with a thick froth of lasting, medium brown head that leaves plenty of lace around the edges
Flavor: This one has the flavor of a full bodied coffee, it is a little sweet, but mostly just roasty
Palate: The body is closer to full then medium, with a thick, creamy feel, and a dry-roasted finish
Overall Impression: I was just up in Kingston a few months ago, but I didn't have a chance to get over to Keegan. I've only had a couple of their beers, but they seem solid overall. As for this one, it is quite interesting, and I can clearly see the appeal. It may be a bit too one-dimensional coffee, but it's still pretty darn good.

Associated Supermarket, Bushwick growler ($10): Pours black with a moderate sized light brown head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt, and a bit of chocolate. Taste is sweet. There ain’t too much roast. Mouth feel is nice and creamy. Easy drinking. This ain’t spectacularly complex, but it is a nice and drinkable stout.

Location: 12 oz bottle at CIA: American Bounty, 9/29/12

Aroma: The nose has some yeast, wheat, roast, and light bourbon/wood notes
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color, with a slight orange hue, and a thick tan head
Flavor: The taste is roasty and lightly sweet, with wheat and yeast, minimal bitterness and booze
Palate: The body is creamy and a touch watery, it is smooth, and has a lightly tingly and dry roasted finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a decent beer, the suggested pairing with the Anniversary steak special worked pretty well. Between the great food, the wine, and everything else the CIA has to offer, they didn't need to have this to make my meal enjoyable, but I was glad to see a fairly interesting beer on the menu.
