Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks zvsn. Black with a light brown head. Aroma of milk chocolate and ice coffee. Sweetish roasty flavor with chocolate, light bitterness, an acidic touch and some coffee. Medium-bodied, over-carbonated. OK.

4oz pour at Smoke and Barrel. Pours a watery, translucent black with some swirling tan head. Nose has watered down coffee, brown sugar, some toast, caramel, some malt. Flavor has more to it, malt, molasses, coffee beans, chocolate, toast, brown sugar. Thinner finish than I imagined. Nice.

Very dark in the glass, nice intense roasted nose. The beer starts very intense roasted, smooth and malty. The mainpart is intense, roasted and malty. Dry and even dusty. The aftertaste is roasted, dry and slightly bitter. Great and highly drinkable stout! 13/12/12/13

Part of a sampler at Ginger Man NYC. Dark ruby red color with no head. Super acetic aroma. Stings the nasal airways. Then burns my throat going down. Light bodied and not total nail polish but pretty bad. This was best later when I blended it with other beers.

Tap at the Jeffrey. I am assuming this is a souring of original mothers milk stout. A little Jow history lesson, mothers milk was first beer I ever rated in 2009. Pours black with thin head. Nose is tart lactic acid. Tastes of bitter dark chocolate, earthy, berries, and funky. Just right sourness very pleasant.
