Bottled. Slightly oxydized, but otherwise an okay session beer. A little bit toastier than normal, and lighter in color. Brown body is pleasing to look at, and mitigates in its favor. Capital Brewing in Wisconsin had tried to go into the import business and brought in Hook Norton, among others. That venture failed, so they'll stay a bit hard to get in our area.

Hazy blond to gold color. Sweetish, with a hay/honey aroma and flavor and some nice hop too.

Dark color, with ruby shades; thick and generous creamy head. Very nice aroma: malt, roasted malt, cheesy, light ammonia. The flavor is less original, starts weak, then the roasted malt and coffee take their place. Ends with a long coffee note.

[Cask at Charlie's Bar] The aroma is sweet fruity. The color is red and it has a fine head - especially for a cask beer. The flavor is sweet malty and fruity with a great bitter end - that turns dry. A very good beer.

The aroma is sweet and malty with notes of straws and fruit. The color is amber, but it has no head. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of grains and straws. An OK beer, but nothing special.

An amber beer with a bubbly and disappearing head. The aroma is slightly hoppy. The flavor is malty, somewhat flowery. It ends on a dry woodyness and a bitterness, that lingers. It is very drinkable, but not special in any way.

Hazy, vibrant amber. Clean pale malts, caramel and apricot in the aroma. The light fruit esters and pale malts continue through the palate. Typically English "heavy" yeast and concrete wood hops...dryish, yeasty finish.

Bottled. Very dark brown. Firm off-white head. Rich aroma with licorice and coffee. Salty and malty, soft and balanced with nice chocolatey bitter finish.
