Description
The process of brewing beer hasn’t changed much since we started back in 1777. And neither has our unique approach to crafting characterful beer. But our equipment most certainly has.

Our state-of-the-art, independent, family-owned brewery now stands proudly alongside our old brewery on the banks of the River Stour in Blandford, Dorset. Using the finest ingredients and over 240 years of expertise, our brewers create beer that brims with flavour.

500 ml. bottle. Definite ginger aroma. Medium dull copper color with a fizzy white head. Warm gingery bite over biscuit or light caramel. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Finish is fairly dry, and becomes zesty as the ginger clarifies, and builds in the mouth. Good for drinking, and also for washing down ginger cookies.

Bottle picked up by and shared with friend Trevor 16-05-08, cheers mate! Light amber with white head, big on the aroma, sweet, floral some raspberry and kiwi. Taste is fine but like some others in the Badger stable its not at all subtle, raspberry sweetness, bit malty, bit sweet, in fact quite a bit sweet, fruity, not totally my thing but it was ok and I suppose typically Badger.

[First rate, 31/1/2008 - 500ml bottle from Asda, High Wycombe. RB score: 3.9] Opening the bottle reveals the overwhelming smell of peach blossom room freshener - nearly poured it on the pot pourri! Taste initially dominated by sweet peach - far closer to an alcopop than a beer. At this point I was distinctly unsure whether to continue to drink it. However, soon the hops and a dry bitterness comes through, and by the end of the pint you realise how well balanced it is. It definitely needs to be served cold. I ended up loving this beer and would certainly have it again. However, I also believe it’s one of those love it or hate it beers. [2nd rate 11/7/2010: Dad shared with me, cheers! RB score 7/3/7/3/14 (3.4)] Yup, peach, dry bitterness etc as before, but found it rather thin in body this time, have reduced my mark slightly. Still surprisingly good though! [3rd rate, bottle from Maureen & Dave - cheers! RB score: 7/3/6/3/13 (3.2) Very fizzy. each tastes very artificial this time & a definite hint of metal. Still oddly fond of it though. Overall score posted is an average of all rates.
