[i] Bottle from Tesco, Cowley 02-11-07 [/i] Deep amber colour with white head. Aroma a bit sweet shop ’pick and mix’ or even jammie dodger? Quite a satisfying beer despite the sweetness, again the jammie dodger biscuitiness came back to me as did some spices not bad at all.

Bottle. Clear light to medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate, elderflowers, light malty, caramel, light hoppy, citrus, butter. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (081007)

Golden colour with a white bubbly head. Aroma is very pleasant fruity - orange, berry & peach! Some honey notes. Fresh & very mild. Flowery & light caramel notes. Light bodied. Pleasant!

On draught at St. Stephens, London: Light to moderate amber coloured, no head to speak of, moderate, caramelly and fruity nose, mainly dry bitter flavour with a little sweetness in the background, light to medium bodied, lingering bitter-malty finish with an increasing bitterness in the aftertaste. Reasonable english session beer..........

500ml bottle. Bright amber with a thick greenish-white head, champagne-like carbonation; carmel malt aroma; very lively in the mouth; dry hoppy start, and then a sour apple fruitiness. Different, but not one I’d want to try again.

This review is from a handpulled cask pint at a local pubs beer festival, drank on 14th Sept 2007.
Light amber body with a well formed white foaming head, the pint sleeve glass shows the beer off well.
The aroma is slight, floral, hoppy and hay smells.
The sweetness can catch you out, if you are not aware it is coming, it isn’t sickly or overstated, but that is its main feature. Hops and an English country garden feel to this beer make it a very pleasant ber to drink.
The flavours do stay for a while and the sweetness fades to leave a more bitter taste in the mouth.
A good solid bitter, if a little paler in colour than I normally prefer.

Cask@GBBF2007. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is wooden, spiced, slightly caramelly and saltwatery. Flavour is spices, wooden and some slight bittery fruits.
