Description
The process of brewing beer hasn’t changed much since we started back in 1777. And neither has our unique approach to crafting characterful beer. But our equipment most certainly has.

Our state-of-the-art, independent, family-owned brewery now stands proudly alongside our old brewery on the banks of the River Stour in Blandford, Dorset. Using the finest ingredients and over 240 years of expertise, our brewers create beer that brims with flavour.

Bottled. Dark amber (or copper) coloured, with mediumsized white head. Hoppy and malty nose, nothing special... Flavour is fruitish hoppy with some malty hints. OK bitter, but expect nothing special.

Bottle from Sainsbury. Copper colour. Bit of a lasting white head, peach, melon and floral hop aroma. Not bad in mouth with a bit of caramel. More peach bitter hop finish that has some length. Best of a bad bunch from the 4 pack of Badger beers

[Cask at Archery Tavern, Paddington, London] A nut brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of nuts - a quite faint aroma. The flavor is sweet nutty and fruity.

[At Archery Tavern, Paddington, London] A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet malty, and so is the flavor, though with a slightly hoppy end. Drinkable, but I rather have an ale in London and a real HB in other places.

[At Achery Tavern, Paddington, London] A yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet and slightly malty, while the flavor is sweet malty with light notes of hay, and with a thin body. I’m not impressed.
