50cl bottle pours a thiccc black with a single ring of beige head. Nose is so old school and lovely, thick dark roasted malts, thick and syrupy smelling, all roasted grains. There are other notes of cocoa and some smoke and burnt caramel, but it all comes through the grain. There is some booze on the nose, but the barrel lets the malt shine and comes through more in the mouth. Even there, all the boiled malts reign, the barrel contributes some chocolate covered cherry and some burnt date scone. Full bodied, sticky, boozy finish but its smooth and meshes well.

Ya know... I see what you did there. Merriment? Didn't get past me. 16oz can from the pub location pours a mostly clear burnt orange brown with a nice cap of lacey white head. Nose has biscuit and cracker and malt, plenty of soap and clear C hops. Flavor is very soapy, pine, citrus rind. The malt base is nice, black tea, dark brown bread. Big soapy, bitter bite on the end. Merriment huh? A nice take on Celebration is more like it.

Clear, sticky, orange amber tulip @Churchkey. Orange oil, citra, slightly danky, steeped Constant Comment tea nose. Obvious citra. Sharp, oversteeped tea tannins, honey, basic Cheerios. Wants to finish dry but it's honey-sticky. Pretty good.

Nice to have an IPA with oats that doesnt come off all oat cream. Tangerine and lemon peel. Light bitter end, with decent body. Nice stuff. Tastes light for a DIPA on booze, but flavourful. Tap at CK.

Can from source: pours blackish with beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate and some licorice. Has a real olde schoole feel to it. Lightly sweet, not very bitter, lighter body, but full of flavor.

Can from source: pours clear gold with white head. Aroma is citrusy, some Pine notes, a flower or two. Taste is some bitterness that is more apparent in finish. Mellow rounded sweetness. Pretty good.
