26/X/24 - 33cl bottle from Dranken Geers (Oostakker), shared @ my parents’ place, BB: IV/2023, lot 2 (2024-1156)

Clear orange blond beer, small creamy irregular white head, unstable, dissipated quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: a little funky, spicy, yeasty, sourish impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, gentle acidity, fruity, some malic acid, sweet touch, spicy, a little bitter. Aftertaste: more fruity notes, apples and pears, sourish touch, a bit lemony, dry, spicy finish, meh. Not great.

Weirdly shaped bottle. 33cl I think? I bought this at Max's Belgian Fest. Pours a thin caramel amber with some white head that faded. No date but I expect this bottle is a bit old. Big butterscotch and caramel nose. Doesn't read Belgian at all. Leathery. Sherry. Smells like a Thomas Hardys. Tastes like one too, sweet caramel and butterscotch, big sugar, some witchhazel or yarrow. Leather, cardboard, sherry. Sweet finish.

Slow gushing to stable, just off-white head, fed by lively carbonated, fully hazy yellow beer. Ink, bit toiletproducts as potpourri herbs, and a tad dusty. Bretts, rather than the potpourri, but still a tad perfumey, lavender. Strange herbs, but the yeast(s) dominate. There is a slight, not unwelcome acidity. Maybe medium bodied, very well-carbonated; It's not my taste - but others might disagree. Txs to Stef!

33cl bottle from Cora in Brussels. F: medium, egg-white, average retention. C: deep gold, hazy. A: malty, apples, banana, orange, grainy, spicy, rubbery. T: medium to full malty base, banana, rubbery, apples, bit herbal, medium carbonation, not for the style at all, bit messy all together, drinkable.
