Draught @ Kerstbierfestival 2006 in Essen, BE. Clear medium amber / brown color with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of caramel and pilsner malt, biscuit, coriander and some banana (yeast ?) Flavor is light sweet and bitter, heavy acidic with a metalic finish

Draught Deep-chestnut with a dense, permanent yellow head, like moccha icecream. Fresh, green malts and dry hop bales, as well as CO² in the nose, good! Bitterish, chocolate, leafy, but not very outspoken. Tastes might be suppressed because of polar serving temperature. Maybe some bananaester in the finish. Medium to well-bodied, cold thinning it. Interesting, if not really great.

Bottled. Cloudy golden, small head. Syrupy pineapple aroma. Very sweet, near full bodied. Marmelade and syrup dominated. The massive sweetness gives it a sticky mouthfeel, and takes the edge of the complex flavour. Some light salty bitterness appears towards the finish.

Bottled. Hazy golden, small head. Lightly spicy and mustardy nose. Medium bodied with clean, crisp mouthfeel, citric and marmelady, notes of peaches. Dryish fruity finish. All flavours remain rather discrete though, giving it a laid back attitude.

Small to medium off-white head, over slightly hazy straw-yellow beer. Lunaria, freshly mowed grass, poplar tree leaf, and straw. Nice nose. Herb, a bit sweet from the malt, hint at honey and ending rather dry. Yeast makes it grainier, and, logically, creamier. Light bodied, CO² obvious, refreshing. I’m not sure this is a wheatbeer - but it might. It’s quite nice, that’s for sure.

Bottled. Rare bottle size 0,5 ltr (for Belgian). Hazy amber color, decent creamy head. Licorice and woody hops in the aroma. Medium to full bodied. Licorice, hops, spices, wood in the flavor. Dry, slighlty bitter aftertaste. At least interesting, but not very enjoyable.

Bottled (BB 03/2009). Slightly hazy amber color, small but steady off-white head. Aroma has hay, licorice, metal and some sweet notes. Starts quite metallic, then some caramelly notes mixed with alcohol. Toffee and licorice together with bitterness in the aftertaste. Lacks some way depth in charatcer although is drinkable.

Bottled 0,75 ltr (BB 09/2008). Hazy orange color, small but steady white head, some lace. Earthy, mouldy, peppery aroma - similar to some Fantomes. Very earthy, peppery and citrusy. Long peppery aftertaste. I am not sure if so dominant earthyness is intended. This is maybe more like a saison than just "a Belgian Ale".

Bottled 0,75 ltr (BB 04/2009). Very hazy amber color, small off-white head - looks like Finnish mead ... Sweet fruity, slightly peppery. Medium-bodied. Soft toffeish mouthfeel. Peppery, alcoholic, some toffee, hops - very complex and tasty. Some citrusy flavors in the finish. Warming, alcohol is evident there. Maybe for ageing too - I wonder how this develops eg. in 5 years.

Bottled 0.5 ltr. Hazy ruby red, decent steady creamy tan head. Interesting peppery and hoppy nose with notes of caramel and dark fruits. Grassy, spicey flavor - tarragon or marjoram maybe? Palate is thin and dry. Very artisanal feeling and somehow typical brew from Luxembourg province.
