Description
Inspired by a chemical engineering background, a desire to reduce food waste and a love for Great British apples. Broadway Press began their journey by collecting windfall apples across The Cotswolds and converting them into delicious cider using an innovative cryo-processing technique. A few years later, we're now based at Cotswold Orchards, where we work with Great British Farmer Nicholas Dunsby and his family to rescue class 2 apples. These apples are rejected from supermarket shelves because of size, colour or small defects. However, these are perfectly good for juicing and crafting cider with and are now the core ingredient in our trademark Ice Cyder®, Iced Apple Juice and Gin 'n' Juice drinks range!

330ml draft in a bottle from lowcostbeer.com. My first Ice Cider and in truth I'm not really sure how the process differs in production. Need to go on a cidery tour! Pours clear gold, no head, still. Aroma has a denser apple aroma compared to most ciders I've tried, sweet, slightly tart but all quite mellow. Taste is sweet apple, very smooth slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Some citric, apple peel, and tropical notes. Interesting, quite like it.

Flavour is composed of semi sweet, pear, floral apple, grape, melon notes. Juicy. Not really an ice cider. Palate is semi sweet, juicy, pear drop. Floury apple. Mellow carbonation. Ok.

Cider Freak Day, Sunday 3rd April 2022. I hosted a cider tasting with my good lady, or son, his girlfriend and my sister-in-law (who didn't really join in much). This was the third offering, a litre bottled by LowCostBeer from a box. We all struggled with this and most went down the drain, I managed more than the rest but it wasn't as exciting as I'd hoped for my first Ice Cider.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Slightly hazy golden amber colour, white bubbly foam head that dissipates away and aroma of baked apple, some cinnamon spice. Taste is sweet, red apple, cooked apple note, with alittle tartness. Medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet & slightly tart apple finish. Quite OK

4/2/2021. Bottle bought direct from the cidery. Pours clear golden amber with minimal head. Aroma of cinnamon, baked apple, touch of nutmeg. Medium plus sweetness, and a slight bitter/tart edge. Moderate body, watery, low carbonation. Nice aroma but my least favourite from this cidery.
