Description
Generation.

Biggest thank you to kappldav123 for sharing! A darkest red brown in the glass. Smooth peated whisky on the nose with some toasted wood. Taste starts malty with smoked bacon, smooth, mid alcoholic bitterness. Really pleasant stuff.

Big thank you to kappldav123 for sharing! A darkest red brown in the glass. Intensive smoke and leather on the nose. Also furniture polish. Taste starts with peat and cold bonfire. Smooth malty. Old oak, earthy. Some sweet licorice in the background. Low to no carbonation. Alcoholic but balanced due to the malt. Warming to he end. Great stuff!

Bottle from the brewery. Bottle number 162/186. Looks really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, small head. Wonderful smokey-malty aroma. Starts mild, malty, more and more roasty, woody, smokey. Spicy-woody background. More and more alcoholic, smokey, some herbal notes as well. Warming malty-smokey finish, not too intense woody. Maybe a bit more balanced than the Laphroaig version. Really nice!

Clear amber colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a light meaty smokiness. A bit light bodied though.

Bottle. Color: Orange-brown amber, off-white head. Aroma: Smoked malt, subtle notes of smoked bacon. Taste: Smoked malt, hints of smoked bacon, malty, subtle caramel and grainy notes, moderate sweet, light bitterness. Some subtle hopnotes at the finish. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Quite subtle smokey compared to some other Rauchbier I've had.

Gold with a frothy, white head. Aroma of Backhausbrot with a bit of bandaid. Taste is mildly bitter the whole way through with some understated notes of roasted bitterness & smoke taking over the finish. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Interesting and quite drinkable.
