Bottle at home, dark brown beer, small head. Aroma is roast, caramel, nuts, praline, dark ripe fruit. Taste is the same, bitter, sweet, bit ''dusty'' aftertaste, not too bad.

Gekocht bij Goënga Den Hoorn Texel, september vorig jaar. Nu 7,5%. Kleur is helder roodbruin, de kraag gebroken wit, weinig retentie. Geur is behoorlijk fruitig, bessen, aarbei, iets geroosterd brood. In de mond is het zoetzurig, fruitig. Smaak is wat zoetig met een licht fruitzuurtje. Vrij lichte body. Finish is een tikje droog en lichtjes bitter, gronderig. Simpel, maar niet slecht.

Bottle 0,75: Hazy dark amber brew with sour taste of sour fruits. Is this meant to be an Rodenbach look a-like from Texel.

Bottle 0,75 ltr best before 15 december 2014: Hazy dark brown colored brew with an dry bitter taste, hints of port, anise and caramel and the beer have some spices.

Slightly hazy orange brown beer, no head. Aroma of dried fruits, caramel, plums, wood. Taste of strong boozy dark malt, bourbon, raisins, vanilla, warming finish.

Alkoholischer, deutlich karamelliger Antrunk. Dunkles weiches Getreide, etwas Schokolade, keine Karbonisierung. Cremig, der Alkohol ist drückend, die Süße dagegen noch angenehm, vor allem angesichts der 14,5%. Eher süffig, dennoch schwer, langer holziger Nachhall. 7/9/9/8/7/8

Draft @ Paal 9, Den Hoorn, Texel. Pours a light hazy orange body and a small dense white head with a small layer retention. Aroma's: malty and fruity. Retronasal it's sweetish, caramel malts, light fruity, light yeast. Flavour is moderate sweet with a hint of bitter. Light bodied. Light moderate bitter finish. Nothing shocking, but OK.

(Draught at Uiltje Craft Beer Bar, Haarlem, 17 July 2024) Cloudy dark yellow colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, pineapple, peaches, spices and candy sugar. Fruity, spicy taste with dried fruit, pineapple, candy sugar and a mild spicy bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Well balanced tripel. Quite nice.
