Bottle.Black colour with creamy beige head.Aroma is rosted with taste of coffee and licorice,some smoked mouthfeels and good dried feeling of earth abd coffee beans.

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010 as Aktieøl. Clear golden body with a small off-white head. Aroma is mild caramel and citric fruity. Flavor is Sweet malty, fruity and balanced bitter. A nice IPA, but not really outstanding.

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Amber body with a nice off-white head. Aroma of sweet, ripe fruit, malt and some alcohol. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, some roast, dry fruit, warming alcohol and moderate bitter. Rather sweet, but very nice.

(Bottle, BBE 21-01-2012, at Mallaskukko, Turku) Aroma combined dark fruits and malts nicely. Alcohol forced its way through, too, but not too intensely. Palate was really dry which made me think the beer might not be fresh - no problem with this style. Strong maltiness continued in the taste with some dried plum and medium bitterness and sweetness. For such a strong and heavy brew this was easy to drink and flavour remained nice all the time.

Bottle. Dark color but not completely pitch black. The foam was large and fluffy, nice tan color. The aroma was "calm", mostly milk chocolate and nuts. Not as much burnt tones as you might think. The taste was ok. Some coffee, chocolate, nuts and caramel. More roasted taste than aroma. Little"dusty" in some way. Even a splash of vanilla. Not much carbonation, mouth feel was medium as well as the body. An ok Imperial Stout, but I expected it to be heavier.

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Hazy amber body with a diminishing off-white head. Aroma is fruity hops and caramel. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, bitterhops and fruity with a hint of spices and alcohol. Quite balanced but not really extraordinary.

Medium beige head. Deep dark red body. Syrupy fruity papery aroma with floral caramel and earth notes. Dry-sweet earthy floral fruity taste with roasty sherry and paper notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, faintly hot mouthfeel. Dry earthy fruity wild berry aftertaste with toffee floral musty notes. There are also smoky ash notes. It’s fairly sweet. Delicate, harmonic, and subtle, but slightly unfresh and musty. Still a great beer. (0.5l bottle, Fish and Beer, Copenhagen.)

Bottle, at Cardinal’s Ølsymposium. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Lovely and well rounded aroma and flavour with all the typical robust porter qualities, but the roastiness is not overdone. Smooth and nicely balanced. Will give a more detailed review on the next occasion.

Draught @ Borefts Bier Festival 2010, Brouwerij de Molen, Overtocht 43, Bodegraven, Netherlands.Clear dark black brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate malt, strong coffee, moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100924]

Draught (Stockholm Beer Festival 2010) - Dark brown in colour. Roasted aroma with hints of chocolate and coffee. Smooth taste with more roasted notes, roasted coffee and plain chocolate.
