On tap at Lost Abbey. Pours with a large tan head over a hazed brown body. Aroma is grainy with caramel and chocolate. Taste is toasty and chocolate with some grain and possibly some smoke. Fullish mouthfeel for a mild, light carbonation.

Sampler @ Pizza Port (Solana Beach) Evening’s best of samples. Pours pitch black, mocha/golden head. Aroma and taste, lots of toasted malts, strong dark fruits presence with some amazing cherry - fig notes, some nice espresso in the finish, resinous with a lot of booze. Fantastically drinkable.
