Cask at Ales & Tails, Twickenham - 15/12/12. Lightly hazed copper with reddish hues and a thin off white head that clears to the edge of the glass and leaves a thin film. Nose is caramel malt, sweet sugars, pine, hops, strawberry jam. Taste follows, more fruit notes, apricot, pine, sugars, a little biscuit. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter sweet finish. Decent stuff.

Half pint shared with Finn. Cask at Market Porter, Borough. Copper-amber body, dotted spots at the glassware. Smell of wood and mid-sweet malts. Malt-fruity taste. Restrained, dry bitter ending. Easy to quaff. Unvaried (London, 04.11.2012).

(cask@Catford Bridge Tavern, London ) Pours dark amber with medium to thin head. Aroma of caramel malts. Medium body and taste is caramel malts. grass/pine bitter finish. Nice.

Orange / red in colour thin white head. Aromas of grassy cascadian hops. Malty sweetness . caramel faint bitterness. Well balanced and very drinkable. A very well rounded beer.

Cask at the Maypole, Cambridge. Clear reddish copper pour with a glass hugging head and no real lace. The aroma is spicy citrus leading to a heavily hopped smooth bitter flavour with grapefruit notes on the palate. A beautiful smooth, flavourful ale, good for all seasons. Shame it’s not more widely available.

500ml bottle. Orange straw in colour with a frothy persistent head. Light floral earthy aroma. Crisp clean flavour. A very well made beer. Nutty and malty.

Palate - Very fizzy, thinnish body. Smooth palate (once the carb had settled)
Overall - Reasonable porter but too much carbonation

Cask (handpump) @ Guildford Arms, 1 West Register Street, Edinburgh, Scotland EH2 2AA.Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, wood, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, light grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120423]
