Light citrus. Some faint resin and a faintly tangy finish. Amber pour. Easy drinking but nothing special. Bottle from Glen’s.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s in a mixer sixer. Pours a hazy dark reddish orange appearance with a light brown head. The aroma is very spicy - lots of nutmeg and vanilla, some cinnamon and allspice - along with some caramel and toasted pumpkin. Medium light body. Medium light sweetness, low bitterness. Nice mouth feel. Typical pumpkin beer with a lot of spices. This is pretty ok. There’s some citrus, plenty of caramel, and doesn’t taste too fake. A little twangy. Fine.

16oz pour at Nags Head in Huntington pours a hazy gold with some creamy, white head. Nose has a nice mix of yeast, mild gristy notes, some biscuit dough, a little potpurri, some flower petals, lightly grass. Flavor has some nice stone fruit notes to go along with things, crackery, yeast, biscuit, orange, grass, flower petals. Creamy finish. Solid offering.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 4/25/2018. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep golden color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big lemon, pear, apple, rose water, lavender, mint, flowers, herbal, grass, pepper, clove, honey, biscuit, and floral/yeast earthiness. Fantastic aromas with awesome complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, flowers, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, pear, apple, rose water, lavender, mint, flowers, herbal, grass, pepper, clove, honey, biscuit, and floral/yeast earthiness. Good amount of peppery yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, rose water, lavender, mint, flowers, herbal, grass, pepper, clove, honey, biscuit, and floral/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Incredible complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, flowers, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/yeast/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an incredible flower spiced saison style. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, flowers, and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. The flower spice flavors were incredibly well balanced and complimenting to the saison style character. Really impressed me. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle #255 of 550 (2014) shared with Deanso and others as rating 6000. Pours near black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma is very malty upfront, cake, toffee, some biscuit and light chocolate. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter with a massively malty palate. One of the most malty RISs I’ve tried. Light full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle during RBWG Grand Tasting. Pours black with large frothy tan head that lasts, lots of carb. Fruity malt aroma and yeast. Medium mouth with dark fruits, the finish is disappointing with a strong metal.

Bottle at San Juan. Clear copper color, small off-white head. Caramel and grainy&grassy notes in the nose. Medium-bodied. Flavor is alcoholic, bready maltyness with herbal and grassy hops. Not maybe authentique but somewhere there. French ones are not better.
