275ml bottle from Morrisons. Pale straw with a loose white head, looking slightly more beer-like than the Clear version; lager-top aroma of musty German hops and citrus; incredibly thin and watery and tasting like shandy made with cheap artificial lemonade.

275ml bottle from Morrisons. Well I’m clearly not the traget demographic for this - I like my beers to taste of beer! It’s almost colourless with a white head - looking much like Cream Soda; there’s a whiff of citrusy hops; and a watery, sweet citrus flavour; with some cardboard to finish. Best avoided.

500ml bottle. Pours dark orange with a thin head. Aroma is faint, orange and pine. Taste has some orange to start. Gassy, bitter finish.

Copper colour. Aroma has some light hop and malt. For an IPA it’s rather malty and not so hoppy. Very nice though. Crisp, dry taste. Good example of harmony between malt and hop.

50cl bottle, BBE 03/2013. Poured copper color with a nice looking white, dense head. Aroma has hops, caramel malt and some weak alcohol notes. Flavor is similar, quite heavy malty, nutty with more alcohol coming through. Bitter finish. Medium bodied. Decent.

On tap @ the Bayview Bistro in the Wigtown Hotel. Pours dark amber with a proportional head. The nose has toffee and dark malt. The taste has toffee and biscuits. The palate is medium bodied and there is a medium thick texture but not so refreshing on the end. Overall, this is another of the many generic keg ales found everywhere (even though this particular one is not found everywhere).

Bottle 330ml. clear glass.Clear light to medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, cereal, light cereal. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, cardboard, vegetables. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20111205]
