Draft. Earthy/funky orange peel, and orange biscuit malt flavor. Slightly hazy golden yellow with small head. Moderately sweet orange, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter earthy/funky grapefruit peel and pine flavor. Good body. Nice, pretty funky.

Draft. Bourbona banana, orange, clove, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with small head. Very sweet bourbon, banana, orange, wheat malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Good body. No surprises that the bourbon dominates this beer - comes close to overwhelming the base beer which wasn't really unexpected.

On tap at New Albanian, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of brandy barrels, with light alcohol, no notice of the underlying hef. Flavour is very boozy, dominated by the brandy barrels. Strange choice to throw a hef in brandy barrels. Not really a good choice, in my opinion, but it's a pleasant enough result.

On tap at New Albanian, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts and light caramel bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with overripe red fruits, caramel and bready malt. Light-bodied, with a bit of a messy flavour profile. Okay.

On tap at New Albanian, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a large foamy tan head. Nose brings out toasted nuts, dark fruits and bready malt. Flavour is quite fruity, with toasted caramel, dark red fruits and slight nuttiness. Quite a robust beer for the style. Balanced and good depth. Very good.

On tap at New Albanian, pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out banana and clove upfront, with a bit of citrus. Flavour is along the same lines, with citrus, banana and spicy clove all in interplay. A little sweet and estery, but it's well-made. Decent.

On tap at New Albanian, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Aroma brings out English malt, light burnt notes, and toasted crusty bread. Flavour is along the same lines, with burnt crusty bread and English malt. Not exactly true to style, but at least it's rather assertive. Decent.

On tap at New Albanian, pours a hazy golden amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bright stone fruity hops and a dry biscuity malt backbone. Flavour is assertive in the hop department for a pale, with crisp biscuity malt and light fruitiness. Dry and nicely balanced. Good stuff.

On tap at New Albanian, pours a deep dark mahogany / dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of treacle toffee, caramel and light hops. Flavour is very rich, with lots of treacle toffee, caramel malts and lots of hops - not sure how this is an English barley wine being this hoppy, but whatever it is, this is wonderfully done. An excellent barley wine.

On tap at New Albanian, pours a hazy amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of Christmas spices upfront, with cinnamon and nutmeg especially. Flavour is a spice bomb, with shitloads of nutmeg, clove and cinnamon. Thick malty body that gives way to the spices. Not my thing, but it's done well.
