Description
Our founder Oli Lemke welded his first own brewing plant in a friend’s garage in 1998. Infected by Oli’s euphoria, his friends turned into builders and helped to transform a derelict S-Bahn unit at the Hakescher Markt into a brewery. On the 21st November 1999 his dream became reality: The Brauhaus Lemke opened for the very first time.

0.33 l bottle from 'AleHub', best before July 2024. Slightly hazy, deep reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, minimally roasty aroma of caramel, nuts and some chocolate. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, minimally roasty and a little fruity taste of caramel, nuts, chocolate and hints of raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Pleasant lager, rather a Dunkel than a Vienna imho.
