Bottle. dark brown color. Malt, apple syrup and honey in the aroma. Sweet, soft roasty flavor with laurel and licorice. Roasty, sticky finish. Definitely not a black IPA.

75 cl. bottle @ home, gift from Hilde. Black pour with a beige head. Smokey aroma with roasted malts and some smoked ham. Sweet taste with a bitter finish. Very nice smoke porter.

Bottle @ Café Ledig Erf, Utrecht. Very Murky to opaque brown color, medium sized beige to light brown head. Aroma is malts, lightly caramel, a hint of diacetyl. Taste malts, again a slight buttery hint, slightly hops and orangepeel, firm bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation. Hmm ok.

Bottle at the Wildeman, Amsterdam. Poured a dark reddish brown with a thin broken white head. The aroma is big toffee resin, mineral, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry, crisp, yesty, woody resin hop, light fruit palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Draft at In De Wildeman. Cloudy dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of toffee, malt, overripe dark fruit, orange peel, chocolate, light roast and caramel. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. [20-09-2016]
