Bottle conditioned. Deep copper colour with a short-lived, off-white head and moderate carbonation. Malty, red fruit aroma with some earthy hops. Flavours of caramel, oranges, sweetish biscuit malts and a decent bitter finish. Ok.

Cask-conditioned at the Great Western Hotel, Exeter 25/07/09. Pale amber in colour with a slight white head. Sweetish malt aroma, with some fruit and earthiness. Flavour was much the same with a decent bitter finish. Ok.

Cask (handpump) @ Great British Beer Festival, GBBF 2008, Earls Court, London, England SW5.Clear medium yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, toasted, old malt, old apples. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. (070808)

cask (handpump) @ The Old Ship Sidmouth. Hazy light strawy-amber yellow, small head. Malty, slightly hoppy with a pleasant overall fruity character and a slight refreshing sourness.

Cask@GBBF2008. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is spices, herbs, wood and some toffee. Flavour is wood, nectar and some mild sourness. Dry bittery finish.

Cloudy golden with tiny white head. Sweet fruity aroma with hoppy notes. Sweet flavor with caramel and hops that gives it a bitter end.

Cask conditioned at The Three Judges, Glasgow. Reddish brown colour. Nice malty aroma with toffee notes. Malty flavour with plenty of caramel / toffee, but also a noticeable presence of hops.
