Description
Maine Mead Works was founded in 2007 with the goal of re-introducing the world to the oldest of all fermented beverages. Using wildflower honey, water and our own proprietary yeast strain, we blend ancient tradition and modern science to produce a highly distinctive product at our Meadery in downtown Portland, Maine.

Old rating from notes. Bottle sampled at the meadery. Clear and pale, weak legs. Aroma of strong lavender, vanilla, cinnamon. The taste is tart citrus, vanilla, honey, toasted malt. Medium bodied.

LSAT Freedom Trip #61. Keg at the meadery. Clear yellow, thin foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of sweet honey and a strong chai finish. The taste is honey, chai, vanilla, apples, spice. Medium bodied, lingering spice.
