(Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse No 68, Stockholm) Pale, hazy yellow colour. Thick, creamy head. Citrus and coriander aroma. Lots of citrus in the flavour; lemon and lime. Slightly yest-dry. The perfect summer-beer.

(Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse No 68, Stockholm) Dark brown-ish red. Creamy head. Well-balanced smoky toffee aroma. "Meaty" taste of smoked ham. Not as smoked as expected but still tasty. Like a lighter version of Aecht Schlenkerla rauchbier.

Draught at Sjätte Tunnan, Stockholm. Served in a ceramic mug in dimly lit cellar valves it was not possible to see the colour. Aroma of ginger. Fairly sweet with light body and some cinnamon flavour along with menthe and honey. Light flavoured and bordering to being thin, but the honey softens the edges.

Draught at MacKinley’s Inn, Stockholm. This, the first, real, commercial Swedish rauchbier I’m aware of is made from smoked malt form the new Mackmyra whiskey distillery. It pours nut brown with rich, rocky head. Woody, smokey nose. Medium bodied. The smoke level is not as outspoken as in the Schlenkerla beers, the mouthfeel might be on the clean side, and the bitterness is low. It’s aiming for balance, which is difficult to achieve in this odd style, and it does a good job at it. Would be perfect to a steak, but on it’s own I’d prefer a beefier, smokier version.

Bottled. Looks like vaguely yellowy water. Aroma of honey, menthe and pine needles. Sweet and lemonad like, but with fresh sparkling mouthfeel. A soothing, odd drink.

A hazy orange beer with a fine white head. The aroma is of citrus, oranges, and wheat - very fresh. The flavor is sour with notes of wheat and citrus, but the body is thin.
