Cask (handpump) @ The Bath Hotel, Sheffield. Bedfordshire England S3 8GG.Clear medium to light dark amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, old tainted malt, peat - smoked notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a average to long duration. (Peat bitter). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. Cask @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.Light light unclear medium yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is light malty, hay, straw. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. NEXT !!! (030508)

Cask at Three Judges, Glasgow. A reddish beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

Cask at Three Judges, Glasgow. Nut brown. Heavily roasty with coffee and grainy malt. Lovely bready malt flavours and salty woody finish. Taste is a funny thing - people around me hated this beer, yet I loved it.

Cask conditioned at The Three Judges, Glasgow. Mahogany coloured beer, minimal head. Unusual aroma: oak / woodwork, malt vinegar, dark fruits, sweat. The flavour is fruity with notes of vinegar, fairly dry. Not too exciting, but OK.

Cask handpull at Three Judges, Glasgow. Ruby with thin beige head. It’s alright, some fairly basic malt, farty aroma. Not great.
