2020-09-19. 330ml from Denman LRS @ 🏡. Bottled on 2020-Feb-18. Appearance: hazy dirty copper with a huge white head. Aroma: slight Brett, maybe some slight 🇧🇪 Saison notes. Taste: some Brett, quite bitter (classic EU lager hops), slightly malty. Overall: it's ok, nothing crazy. This batch is definitely better than the previous I had - not a Brett bomb. However, I doubt that I will buy it again over the next 4-5 years. 8-3-7-3-14=35 2016-Oct-03. Pours a hazy golden with a huge white head. Aroma is sour, Bretts, slightly fruity. Taste is sour, hoppy bitterness, yeasts. Hoppy bitterness aftertaste. It tastes totally different to all others Trappist beers. Not a fan of so sour wild stuff :-) But if you are, then this beer will be tasty for you. 7-3-7-3-12=32

0,33l bottle at home. Bottled 08/10/2015. BB 08/10/2020. bit of a gusher this one. amber quite hazy color, quite big off-white head. smells quite funky, lightly sour, green apples, light belgian yeast, light sweetness, peach, nutty, marzipan. very nice smell. medium body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes grassy, light funk, caramel, rather malt heavy, citric, herbal, peppery, spices, nutty. rather short finish with rather strong bitterness of grass and citric notes + some spices. 2nd glass: after pouring way more gentle, the 2nd glass has a lot of carbonation, very soft mouthfeel, for me a little too much carbonation though (bloats your mouth), grassy again, also with some flowery / parfume like notes. My first Orval. very lovely smell, unfortunatly the taste was rather surprising / not what I expected / not as good as the smell. Rather strongly bitter on the finish, actually a bit disturbing even. On suqsequent sips also way too much carbonation. Might try an older bottle when I get the chance. Overall still quite nice though.

Au la Falstaff. Cloudy, reddish orange with a thin white head. Fruity aroma, slightly sour. Taste is fruity, dry finish

Bottle @ Mikkeller, Aarhus. Clear orange with a big off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, yeasty, bretty and moderate hoppy - grass. Flavor is medium sweet, moderate bitter and light acidic. Dry, moderate bitter and light acidic finish. 070416

This one is 10 months old. Dark orange/light brown, murky, huge dense and quite persistent head. Aroma is bright: mildly funky, lemon rind, apricot, fresh grass, a hint of spiciness. Also slightly earthy, but it does not get in the way of a greatly refreshing feel. Taste is juicy sweet with notes of lemon and apricot. A slight hint of tartness. Fresh grass again. Finish is strongly bitter and dry with a note of grapes. Light to medium body, average carbonation, goes down so smooth with a dry finish that makes you longing for another sip. So rich and complex and yet so smooth and refreshing. Great

Bottle at home from Freshfields in Croydon. Pours hazy dark orange with impressive white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of orange peel, herbs and a little fink. Tastes of coriander, orange with a hint of funk. Really nice.

Bottle. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich brett, fruits, flowers, grass and malt. Nice light sour finish. Lovely.
